Gates to Persia. Door and Window Design of Persian History.
In the buildings of the UNESCO World Heritage Golestan-Palace and Saadabad-Palace in Teheran doors and windows attract to step in for a time journey to the past. In small towns and villages of Iran there are also many historical buildings with nice and antique entrances to find. On our pictures taken in the mountains of Teheran mostly buildings were regular houses and farms of the habitants. The district of Darband is now being settled by Restaurants and cafes, which offer a resting possibility for the hikers on their way up to the top. It is definitely worth hopping in to relax and to enjoy a cup of tea with a lot of fresh air.
